Public invited to May 21 Plant Promotion Fundraiser IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Gardeners and plant lovers can select from a multitude of indoor and outdoor plants at this year's "Plant Promotion" on Saturday, May 21. From 9 a.m. until noon, the public can browse through a variety of plants at the Bonneville County Extension Center, 1542 E 73rd S, Idaho Falls, South entrance. Annually, Bonneville County's master gardeners hold the Plant Promotion fundraiser to benefit its programs. Many of the plants come from the gardens and yards of local master gardeners. Others are donated by area nurseries and garden centers. Additional items include gift cards, potting soil, gardening equipment and landscape items. Monetary donations are accepted for all items. On May 21, plants available to the public will include tomatoes, houseplants, bulbs, seeds, herbs, ground covers, vegetable starts, and a wide variety of annual and perennial flowers, as well as apple trees. Master gardeners will be on hand to answer questions, help with planting ideas, and offer landscaping and gardening tips. For more information about the Plant Promotion fundraiser or the Master Gardener Program, contact the Bonneville County Extension Office at 208-529-1390, bonneville@uidaho.edu.
